The PingAlert story originates from the process and environmental industries. From supplying and servicing instrumentation in the field, an emerging need arose for a connection between field measurements where power supplies and wifi are non-existent.

We took our experience with instrumentation and developed a low-power range of devices, connected to the IoT (Internet of Things) via a dedicated communication platform. Traditional high-cost telecommunication connections were not an option, due to the discerning client requirement for multiple sensors at multiple sites. Installations demanded a connection to sensors with quick and easy setup, without high annual data charges.

Diverging from traditional connectivity, PingAlert utilizes dedicated electronics to connect to the cloud using the latest Low Power Network technology such as CAT-M1, NB IoT, or LTE-M (Long Term Evolution of Machines). Connections are provided at extremely low cost and do not require expensive Gateways or repeaters, because every device provides its own direct connectivity.

PingAlert allows clients to analyze the performance of devices over time and understand how and where they are being used, continuously monitor device data to predict maintenance issues, and monitor sensors to predict and react to environmental conditions. Utilizing the dedicated monitoring website host, clients have the option to either read data directly or link sensors into their own programs via the open API platform.
